Zou Bisou Bisou

In light of my previous post, here is a charming and sultry instance of how creative the new rendition of a song in an audio/visual work can be. [more...]

Thank Heaven

Because media productions are also subject to financial constraints, music budgets are often hit first.

In this way, it is not always possible for media producers to clear the rights of a master recording besides that of the composition itself (the actual song) for their use in an audio/visual project such a commercial (sorry for the legalese!!).

Iron / Assassin’s Creed

What could be better than directing your music videos yourself when you are keen on applying your music’s own vision on screen…?

Fairly not that easy, isn’t it? …Except if you’re as talented as up-and-coming music artist WoodKID a.k.a. Yoann Lemoine – incidentally a multi-awarded music video/film director as well…

99 Problems

Another clever music placement in a commercial for video games.

What strikes me in that video is the way the music enables to directly address the targeted demographic – 15-35 y/o men – while responding to the video game’s message.
